Elements of microhydraulic logic in laboratories on a chip In this article functional elements of microfluidic laboratory on a chip for analysis of biological objects are considered in the context of formal Boolean logic. In particular an implementation of element "AND", i. e. a mixer and element "OR", i. e. a microhydraulic key are analyzed. Examples of realization on the basis of "flexible" electronics principles, or using thick film technologies are discussed as well as application in biomedical analysis. Nano-sized carriers for drug delivery applications Targeted drug delivery represents one of the most important goals of modern pharmacology. This goal is accomplished by the implementation of nano-sized carriers of different chemical structure with the dimensions of tens or hundreds nanometers. This review focuses on the description of most promising types of nanocarriers. Expert system for the physical development of children based on apparatus of the relational algebra The article presents the information model developed by assessment of physical development of the child, which shows the efficiency of apparatus of relational algebra to solve the problem of assessment of health indicators for a large number of standards. The implementation of the model is possible with different development environments for different platforms. Application of the model considered as an application for the operating system Microsoft Windows. Conceptual Approaches for Using Service Robots: Common Problems of Implementation (On the Example of Manned Space Exploration and High-Tech Medicine) Incentives for large-scale embedding of robot-assistants are based on suppositions to reduce significantly the workload on staff in technological chains, in which there is a high proportion of manual, routine, time-consuming labor of execution. Potential areas of wide-scale application of service robots include such domains as manned space exploration and high-tech medicine. It allows making a search of features of common application of service robots and to offer a conceptual approach to description of a complex system "man — robot — working environment" in terms of principles of its organization, building robot's internal environment of the robot and creation of an intellectual environment with a set of assistive functions for a human-operator (end-user) to supervise activities of autonomous mobile service robots inside the working places.
