Andriyanov A.  D.  Development  and   processing of  complex-shaped  turning inserts for  refractory  alloy  machining applications

The  paper describes the demands to be met by turning tools used  for machining of stainless, refractory and  Ti alloys, based  on the investigation of the cutting mechanisms. The  identified design features are important for development of complex-shape indexable faceted cutting inserts to be used  under severe strains, high stress, and  high-temperature conditions. The material and  technology features crucial for processing of such  inserts are described. The results achieved in  turning tests with sample inserts and  stainless & refractory alloy  workpieces are also  presented.

Novikov V. V. The calculation of mechanical stresses in  the chips  at the orthogonal free cutting

The  stress state in  the zone  of chip  formation  in  the cutting blade  can  be described by the stress tensor. The calculations performed by the proposed model  show  that the location of sites of maximum shear stress correspond to the texture of the chip. The results of calculations qualitatively describe the existing experimental dependences allows  us  to make  quantitative estimates  that are close to the experimental results, predict the conditions of appearance of a positive tensile stress.

Vasilkov D. V., Kochin  T. B., Nikitin A. V. Experimental and  settlement determination of technological residual tension in a blanket of thin-walled disks when  processing by turning

Idea  of the deforming ability  of residual tension  in the form of the moment  loading brought to a surface is formulated. The  settlement and  experimental  method  of their definition  is  offered. The  method  of calculation  of torques from action of the deforming ability of residual tension  in  relation to discrete  is  offered models of thin- walled  disks of a  difficult spatial outline  when  processing by  turning. The  simplified technique  of settlement and  experimental  definition  of residual deformations from action  of the deforming ability  of residual tension of the mechanoprocessed thin-walled disks is developed. Prerequisites for the solution  of a  problem of management of residual deformations of thin-walled disks when  machining are created by turning.

The  high price of carbide end  mills is  no  evidence that the required accuracy of workpiece machining, and performance can  be obtained  only  by a cutter.  These  indicators  can  be  achieved using composite  milling cutters, in  which the tail part made  of structural  material,  the  working part — of the carbide material between a  portion  oriented  and  connected.  Variants  of orientation and  connections  may  be  different, it affects  the performance and  the scope  of a  particular embodiment of the cutter.

The article discusses a new approach to the preparation of powder and  composite  products  of different chemical composition from the programmable structure is not implemented within the framework of equilibrium and  qua- si-equilibrium processes, methods layered electron beam  melting / sintering, brazing and  spraying.

Investigation of  the process  of  formation  when  combined milling and  electrochemical machining of aluminum

It is now known high efficiency of manufacturing opera- tions combined types, this is the technological approach allows you  to vary widely the values of the input param- eters of the process of forming and  managing quality criteria. However, a wide  variety of process parameters, which play  a significant role in  the formation of surface roughness when  processing difficult to determine the op- timal values of the factors included in their interaction in the conditions of the manufacturing process. That is why the study of attention is paid  to various combinations of blade machining aluminum overlay circuit with different coolants environments, as well as reduce the intensity of unwanted  dynamic and  thermal effects  on  technological systems and  processes of formation in modern conditions of the manufacturing industry.

Medunetskiy V.  M.,  Nikolaev V.  V.  The comparison methodology of engineering solutions for ensuring quality coefficients mechanical systems

The  article  considered the interrelation of quality stages  and   design stages  of mechanical systems  taking into account  the evolution  of modern technology.

The  advisability  of analyzing in  detail  a  design phase as  the initial process of providing the product  quality coefficient  is  identified. It is  noted  that  developer in practice  often  resorted  to an  expert  estimation  when solving choice  problems. The  method of engineering so- lutions  comparisons is  based   on  the method  of expert estimations  and  the purpose of improving the quality of the developed products. The  proposed method is exa- mined  on  the example of the automatic  gripper of a cluster fuel assembly. The  algorithm  of the methodo- logy  is demonstrated  on  the example and  the result is obtained  when  using the proposed method.  The  conclusions  about  the advisability  of using this methodology in  practice  are made.
