Alexandrov P. L., Gradov O. V. Conventional patch-clamp techniques for multi-channel Lab-On-A-Chip signal registration using real time target machine interfaces and in situ real-time digital signal processing The need for simultaneous data recording from multiple channels and synchronization of correlation data processing in conventional patch-clamp on microelectrode arrays / chips with many data capture points corresponding to single channel ionic kinetic processes of individual cells leads to the idea that adaptive variation of the local potential registration conditions in multichannel devices without signal preprocessing in real time is impossible. Moreover, the advisability of direct registration coupling with the model realization for kinetic identification of the process during patch-clamp can be realized only in case of their synchronization. We propose here such a measurement system.

Nasonova A. A., Krylov A. S. Blood vessel detection with quality estimation in eye fundus images In this work we present a new method of blood vessel detection that consists of image preprocessing and vessel detection itself. Preprocessing is aimed at accentuation of the blood vessels and consists of luminosity stabilization, removal of other retinal details using a morphological alternating sequential filtering, vessel enhancement using Gabor filtering. In this work we also propose a new metric for vessel segmentation quality estimation that compares the result of the automatic vessel detection to a ground truth vessel map created by a specialist manually. Orehov F. K., Gradov O. V. On-line compatibility of COBAC, QSPR/QSAR and SBGN technologies: the unity of theory and practice for biomedical equipment design and biochemical diagnostic data analysis
A current global trend in the development of biomedical and pharmaceutical chemistry is the use of computerized analytical technologies like COBAC, typically followed by the comparison with the action of the known analyses using QSAR/QSPR methods. The clinicians are interested not in the results of the primary measurements, but in representative results of the physiological and biochemical tests compared with the preceding drugs and their analogs. In this case a direct conversion of numerical data into the QSAR/QSPR descriptor values with their subsequent transformation.

Oganesian V. A., Notchenko A. V., Gradov O. V. Mechanotronic neurogoniometer for in vivo & in situ measurements on living brain slices and operating with a stereotaxic apparatus. Preliminary report
The possibility of constructing a dynamic neurogoniometer based on rotary mechanotronic system controlled by stepper motors and a number of controlled reflectors on the galvanometric scanners is considered below. The control is performed by a PIC-controller, but there is also another low-cost construction using stepper motors control modules in a CAMAC standard. There are several designs based on a universal Feodorov stage and the apparatus for stereotaxis. The above schemes can be used both for working with the fixed histological slices and for in vivo or in situ analysis, particularly of living brain slices.

Taranov A. A., Spiridonov I. N. Non-contact measurement of frequency of arterial pulse
It is known that arterial pulse is one of the most frequently measured characteristics in medical practice researches. And today you can see a lot of different approaches to arterial pulse measurements (manual palpation, ultrasound research, pulseoximetry, reoplethysmog-raphy, sphygmography and etc.) But all those conventional methods demand a direct contact with patient body that is not always suitable for patients. For the instance it is not comfortable in case of long term real time measurements (which is often required in medical researches), or in case of pulse measurement on immobilized patients. But in a recent time it was shown that this problem can be solved by means of non-contact photoplethysmography and that even more interesting that such technique can be realized by means of a personal computer with web cam. Nevertheless until now you could not find this technology outside the laboratory. In this paper we introduce a novel open-source project, devoted to development of free and open source arterial pulse measurement system that provides accurate contactless measurements in a real time mode. The project is hosted as «Pulse capture» application on sourceforge.net online repository.
