Tolkovich D.V. Device to simulator electrophysiological signals, made in of the torso of human

Now almost no devices to simulate the physiological reactions of the patient. To solve this problem, we developed a device, that reproduces electrophysiological activity of the patient. The device is made in the form of the human torso (head and body). Inside the torso placed the multichannel functional generator, interface with the networks of electrodes and the computer unit for controlling the generator. The simulator can be used for initial training of doctors and nurses and to improve the skills of various experts in the field of electrophysiology. In the future, the simulator must pass a certification procedure and applied for metrological maintenance of electrophysiological diagnostic and recording equipment.

Goldberg D. L., Grigoriev P. E., Olenchuk A. V. Basic aspects of personal data security in medical information systems

Legal documentation on personal data security in health care is analyzed, the basic regulatory requirements imposed on hardware, software, and administrative tools to protect personal data are examined. A distinctive feature of the healthcare information system is the processing of personal data of special category, which imposes a number of obligations on health care institutions. However, the overestimation of the real level of actual threats leads to unreasonable increase in financial expenses at ensuring the security of personal data. Аs a necessary and a sufficient level of security for a typical medical information system the third level was determined. To implement this level of security taking into account the criteria of regulatory authorities, it is necessary: to ensure the safety of personal data media, to approve the list of persons having access to personal data, to carry out the regular monitoring of observance of requirements, to use remedies of information protection which passed the certification procedure, to assign a responsible person for the security of personal data.

Glazova A. Yu., Tur E. Yu., Makarenkova A. A., Pokhaznikova M. A. Lung sounds single-channel differentiation in patients with COPD and asthma

The article shows the results of the study of breath sounds in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and asthma. Using single-channel reception of breath sounds with an electronic stethoscope and subsequent computer processing of the data objective acoustic features that characterize each of these pathologies were identified and differentiated. The physical models of breath sounds generation in the presence of morphological changes caused by these diseases were proposed.

Keywords: chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, electronic stethoscope, total spectral power in terms of root mean square, inspiratory sounds, inspiratory duration.

Soldatenkova N. A., Orlov A.V., Rotar O. P., Alieva A. S., Boyarinova M. A., Moguchaya E. V., Rogoza A. N., Konradi A. O. Early vascular aging: search of a method of an assessment

  1. Subjects whose vascular age is older than chronological age might have higher cardiovascular risk. The aim of our study was estimate prevalence and risk factors of early vascular aging (EVA) according to different methods of an assessment of arterial stiffness.

Design and methods. 481 apparently healthy participants aged 25–65 years were randomly selected from Saint-Petersburg inhabitants (sample from ESSE-RF study). Fasting lipids, glucose and blood pressure measurement by Omron (Japan) were performed. Cardio-ankle vascular index (CAVI) was detected by VaSera VS-1500 (Fukuda, Japan). Carotid-femoral pulse wave velocity (cfPWV-S) was measured by SphygmoCor (AtCor, Australia). We used 3 definitions of EVA syndrome — if vascular age calculated from pressure independent stiffness index (CAVI) exceeded the biological age ≥4 years (EVAvas), if PWV exceeded 2SD for corresponding age group in Russian population (EVAsphRus), if PWV exceed 2SD reference value PWV stratified by age (EVAsphRef). We used the reference values presented in article «Thе Reference Values for Arterial Stiffness’ Collaboration».

  1. EVAvas prevalence [82 (17 %)] was higher, than EVAsphRef [36 (7,5 %)] and EVAsphRus [14 (2,9 %)] prevalence, kappa index of criteria agreement was 0,08. Prevalence of EVA syndrome among individuals below 40 years was up to 17 % higher according to reference values, than EVAsphRus, what is explained by more high PWV values for group of young people in the Russian population. A higher probability of EVA according to EVAsphRef and EVAsphRus, had subjects with hypertension (OR 2,76, 95 % CI 1.3–5.4, р< 0.05 vs OR 11.4, 95 % CI 2,5–51.6, р< 0.05), hyperlipidemia (OR 2.5, 95 % CI 1.2–5.2, р< 0.05 vs OR 3.9, 95 % CI 1.4–11.6, р< 0.05), and diabetes (OR 3.9, 95 % CI 1.4–11.2, р< 0.05 vs OR 5.9, 95 % CI 1.5–22.1, р< 0.05 ). The probability of EVA according to EVAvas was higher only in hypertensive subjects (OR 2.6, 95 % CI 1.6–4.4, р< 0.05).
  2. Results of this research in the Russian population emphasize importance of an assessment of vascular wall condition with application of different methods of arterial stiffness determination and considering age, blood pressure level and metabolic profile.

Keywords: early vascular aging, arterial stiffness, cardio-ankle vascular index, carotid-femoral pulse wave velocity.

Karasev V. A., Kalinin S. B. Computer program PREDICTO @ DESIGNER for prediction and design of protein secondary structures: UPGRADE. II. Principles for creatingthe theoretical database of proteins pentafragments

Principles are proposed for creation of the expanded theoretical database (RDB), suitable for predicting and designing protein secondary structure. The approach is based on the theoretical analysis of the database of proteins’ pentafragments (PF) derived from the experiment. At the first stage a sample of aminoacids’ tetrads is obtained from initial PF; among them tetrads containing three amino acids which overlap with three amino acids of initial sample are selected and then via superposition yield new PF for RDB. At the second stage tetrads from PF files of previous and subsequent stages of transition between different types of secondary structures are used. To create RDB and make possible analysis of the obtained results we wrote computer programs ALUBAT and TABULA and proposed a simplified version of the BDR used in PREDICTO @ DESIGNER program.

Karasev V. A., Kalinin S. B. Computer program PREDICTO @ DESIGNER for prediction and design of protein secondary structures: UPGRADE. III. Search algorithms of pentafragments in databases and methods for correcting prediction of the protein secondary structure

In order to improve the efficiency of predicting and designing the protein secondary structure we refined search algorithms of pentafragments (PF) in newly created databases. Lists of code numbers in the tabular form were proposed for searching the initial and subsequent PF in the database to predict the secondary structure of proteins. Of all the considered methods for predicting correction the method of amino acid substitutions in the PF proved the most effective one. It makes feasible high accuracy prediction of the secondary structure of related proteins provided PF of proteins-archetypes are available from the database.

We investigated the dynamics of the peripheral blood of rats with administration of various magnetic nanoparticles of iron oxide as a potential means for the targeted delivery of drugs. Used magnetite nanoparticles and colloidal particles based on iron oxide and silica FemOn—SiO2, obtained by one- and two-step methods. After 3, 6 and 24 hours after the administration was determined hematologic parameters. The absence of significant changes in the peripheral blood of the animals, which indirectly indicates the absence of severe systemic toxicity magnetic composites prepared by various methods.
