Pereverzev P. P., Kadhim A. M. Modeling of process parameters on metal removal rate in automatic cycles of round external grinding with longitudinal feed

    A model is presented for calculating the productivity of the metal removal process for round external grinding with longitudinal feeding on CNC machines for a given automatic grinding cycle. The performance model allows you to calculate the current values of the feeds, the amount of the allowance actually taken off the cycle steps. The model is based on the relationship between the cutting force and the regime parameters of the cycle, the elastic deformations of the technological system and the main technological factors. The actuality of modeling the process of metal removal in automatic cycles of round external grinding with longitudinal feed, performed on CNC machines, is caused by the absence of automated design systems and normative reference literature and cycle design techniques that meet the requirements of modern automated production, has led to that. in this article the technique of calculating the actual feeds and cutting forces for a given cycle and grinding conditions.

       Improvement of wear resistance of carbide cutting tools is an important task, the results of which are in demand for the industry. One of the ways of increasing wear resistance is the application of nanostructured multilayer composite coatings. To increase the wear resistance of the cutting tool through the application of nanostructured multilayer composite coatings is strongly influenced by the substrate on which coated. Improve the wear resistance of the cutting edge of carbide cutting tool should be considered as a complex problem of search of rational combination  of substrate and coating.

Kulikov M.Yu., Yagodkin M.V. Increase of reliability of the thread cutting process in holes of ultra-small diameters

     The article considers the features of the thread cutting process in the holes of the ultra-small diameter (d ≤ 1.4), the effect of the diameter on the regularities of machining and chip formation, reveals the reasons for the low reliability of thread cutting and the ways to increase them. In the article the results of the investigation of the arising moments in the process of thread tapping in the holes of ultra-small diameters ( M8) were considered. Analysis of the obtained graphs shows that when processing holes of ultra-small diameters, the arising torque rises from zero to the maximum value within 0.8-1.2 mm of the length of the hole being treated, in turn, when threading M5-M12, the torque changes at the cutting site and decreases in the exit section of the tap from the hole, while the magnitude of the moment does not change sharply, but has a constant value. To improve the cutting conditions of threads in the holes of ultra-small diameters, anodic-mechanical machining was used during the cutting, which allowed increasing the length of the working stroke before the maximum value of the moment when cutting.

   The description of resistive electrocontact method of measuring residual stresses in the surface layer of various metals and alloys. The relationship between the specific electrical conductivity, specific electrical resistance and the deforming ability of residual stresses. The results of experimental studies showed the efficiency of the method and scheme of its implementation.

Urmanov M. D., Khusainov R. M. Integration of the tool management system with the CAM-system

The article deals with the aspect of the pre-production, including the planning of the technological operation with the preparation of the program for the CNC machine, together with the use of tooling. It is proposed a chain of cooperation of through the design instruments, aimed at reducing downtime. We consider the construction of the database of tools with reference to the machines, used at an enterprise, and to the recommended cutting conditions. It is developed the method for the user to replenish the tool library with the construction of the tool kinematic scheme and its registration through the dialog box. The proposed algorithm allows recording and classifying tools in NX CAM system library.

   The article deals with the automation of selected problems of choice, solved during the technological preparation of production in the manufacture of polymer products by injection molding. The stages of decision-making were identified when choosing equipment, additional equipment, material of forming parts used in injection molding. A formalized description of these stages is given, as well as algorithms for selecting equipment, additional equipment, and material of forming parts.

Kulkov A.A. Technological modes of ultrasonic liquid matting of metal surfaces   

     Matting of metal surfaces is usually carried out with free abrasives in a dry or liquid medium. This operation is used mainly for finishing works to obtain the required ergonomic indicators of the surface of machine elements that come into contact with a person in the process of work, or to obtain decorative engravings and drawings. Sometimes matting is used as a pre-paint operation. The article presents the results of studying the influence of some technological modes of matting on the properties of the resulting surface.

    Management of efficiency of process of cutting is difficult, due to the need to foresee specific circumstances of its implementation. The most acute problem of such control is in those cases when it is not possible to test due to the fact that the stock part only.Said argues the need for pre-modeling of the cutting process for optimization of a particular parameter or set of parameters. E-the models are nice in that they allow the numerical method to model, to recreate certain conditions and to evaluate the behavior of the system cutting.We have constructed a model of composite solid carbide end mills, which helped to improve the design of the cutter from the standpoint of optimization of the material of its shank, allowing the mill to compete with the expensive solid carbide cutter without sacrificing performance and quality.
